Santa's Workshop at The Oregon Garden

The magic of the holiday season is coming early to The Oregon Garden! On the weekend of Nov. 30th to Dec. 2nd, hop aboard the Holiday Express and travel to Santa’s Workshop from Noon to 8 p.m.

Santa’s Workshop will feature appearances by Santa himself, two live reindeer available to view and pet, as well as festive holiday décor and music, family photo opportunities and crafts. Holiday shopping will be available from local artisan vendors, and hot holiday beverages – both alcoholic and non-alcoholic – will be available to purchase.

The event takes place inside a heated tent, so don't worry if we're experiencing a little bit of Oregon cheer (rain). We'll be cozy with Santa and his reindeer.

The event will be included with Garden Admission so make plan on taking a stroll through the Garden, as it's a very beautiful place to visit in the winter. And if you'd like free admission, we'd love to have you as a volunteer - contact 503-874-2533 or volunteer@oregongarden.org for more information.

FYI-Our Visitor Center takes credit cards for admission but the activities and refreshments in the tent will be cash only.

Visit the "Stay with us!" tab for information on the special Oregon Garden Resort overnight package available for the weekend of the event.

Santa’s Workshop at The Oregon Garden is generously sponsored by Silverton Health and Portland General Electric, which is providing sustainable energy to run the event.

    1. Decorate sugar cookies with your kiddos in the afternoon. Later, when it's dark, put the kids in their jammies, grab the cookies and make a thermos of hot chocolate. Pile them in the car with blankets, turn the car radio to a station with Christmas carols and then go for a drive through a large housing development and look at Christmas lights together. Costs next to nothing and makes beautiful memories!
